Frogy Song

Last night Amy called me telling me that 'lil Eric wanted me to sing to him before he went to bed. He was requesting the "Little Green Frog" song that we call the "Ahhhhuuuumpppphhhh" song. So cute, I will sing and talk to him any night of the year. Love him, love all my "loves". They are growing up so fast. Eric is almost 22 months now.

Just Like That

Saturday and yesterday I spent some time doing up my laundry. Laundry can tell some things about my life. Here is the break down, 2 loads of sheets and towels, 2 loads of colored clothes- one black and blue tones the others of other colors, one load of whites. Can you tell, I like to do my laundry sometimes all at one time, it is usually out of necessity.

What I found really interesting about the laundry is that there has been a huge shift in my clothing during the last few weeks and I made 2 observations. Observation #1- the weather seemed to change "just like that" over night. My laundry mainly consisted of shorts and t-shirts for the last several months and now it is mainly long sleeve shirts, sweatshirts and long pants. The Bay Area experienced a huge change in weather, it was warm to hot and then went really cool to cold. I went from a single layer to multiple layers (I call it a whole load of laundry in one day) per day. Observation #2- October my laundry was mostly orange and black, had to keep my mojo going with my Giants (on a side note, congratulations to the World Series Champions, the San Francisco Giants). Now my colored laundry represents all sorts of colors. Just like that, my laundry changed.

Just like that, the seasons have changed. The rain has started up and the hills are going from brown (or golden as my sister and I have discussed) to short fuzzy green. The trees that were just 2 weeks ago, green and full are all shades of yellow, orange, red and are falling off the trees.

Just yesterday morning, I was scheduled to report to jury duty in San Francisco District Court (did not seem fun to me, especially since I have this week off, but thankfully God has worked on my heart) and when I called in yesterday morning I was told that my services were not needed for Monday and Tuesday but to call back on Tuesday, just like that.

Enjoy the pictures, they are from my walk earlier this morning.

Perfecto for Cain!

Congratulations to Matt Cain of the San Francisco Giants for pitching a perfect game on Wednesday night! He is only the 23rd pitcher to ever obtain such status. Wonderful team effort. Wish I would have been there. As God's sovereignity has it, I had tickets for Thursday's game but missed that game due to BART trains not working and having an upset stomach. Thankful I watched the Perfecto game on TV that night.

Remind Me Who I Am

By Jason Gray from the album A Way To See In The Dark

When I lose my way,
And I forget my name
Remind me who I am
In the mirror all I see
Is who I don't wanna be
Remind me who I am

In the loneliest places
When I can't remember what grace is

(Chorus)
Tell me, once again who I am to You, who I am to You
Tell me, lest I forget Who I am to You, that I belong to You, to You

When my heart is like a stone,
And I'm running far from home
Remind me who I am
When I can't receive Your love
Afraid I'll never be enough
Remind me who I am

If I'm Your beloved
Can You help me believe it

Chorus

I'm the one You love
I'm the one You love
That will be enough
I'm the one You love

Chorus (X2)

Sometimes I need to be reminded who I am in God, who I am in Christ.
Sometimes the world and it's cares beats me down.
Sometimes I beat myself down.
Sometimes I forget.

God is always for me.
He died and rose again for me.
I'm His beloved.
And that is enough.
